In 10 years (1981 to 1991), Brazilian drivers conquered 6 WC. (PS: Piquet won the 2 last races of 1990 with a Benetton, Senna won the 4 first races of 1991, Piquet won the 5th race of 1991 with the Benetton). Man, your view about Brazil is sooooo wrong. Racing in Brazil starts on 50s when the major auto makers industry arrived to start the industrialization in the country. In that point of time, the races and drivers started to shine especially in races against Uruguay and Argentina. Pls, take out this favelas and people play football in the roads because it has absolutely nothing related with F1. And start to read about F1, we have several drivers and you just missed the 3 times championship of Nelson Piquet, one of most iconic drivers in his F1 time, in your comment....about champions, by the way. It's easy Germany big coporations in automotive market (mercedes, bmw, vag), Italy- almoast the same, less corpos but more famous (Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maseratti), UK-media, the main stream of F1 is sending by media in UK. Its easier to promote your own driver. At start of your career corpos in germany will support their own driver, the same in Italy and very good marketing in UK. Proof? Why Albon was so long in Red Bull even they was able to swap one year erlier him and Gasly (who had better first half of 2019 than Albon 2020)? Because the main owner of Red Bull (the drink not the team) is from Thailand same as Albon. Thats it. Latest F1 champions always had big sponsor or was member of junior program. Proof? Alonso - Santander, Hamilton - McLaren junior, Vettel - BMW junior and Red Bull as sponsor. There will be always easier to find founder form your own country. We are talking about equality by human race, why not by nationality?

Fins are weird people. They’re not too social They’re not loud They’re tall (6ft+) They always sit one apart on public transport. They rarely chat to someone they don’t know. And their roads are amazing. I’m from the UK and the days when I would drive about the back roads of Finland tells me exactly why there are so many amazing Finnish rally drivers and normal drivers.

If you knew anything about F1 you would know that Mercedes F1 is pretty much all designed and run in Britain. Even the engine is built from the British Ilmor engine. Then again until recently most of the Indycar engines were built in the UK.

With the United Kingdom, it is in us to win at all costs in whatever we do despite not always achieving that goal. We got bad weather, many motor racing circuits, a liberal system when it comes to driving schools and the infrastructure is mostly untolled and it’s possible to hammer a car to death on a country road.

You're not wrong about talking about Brazil without naming all their F1 champions, but also when you sad that F1 is unaccessable for brazilians. Its important to say that Brazil is one of the few countries that broadcasts the races in free-to-air TV, since 1972, with great audience. Even this year, when the biggest brazilian TV - Globo - decided to leave the broadcasting, F1 looked for another free-to-air TV to continue.

Well.. I think you should have talked about the Finnish Rally culture as we also drive in rally and I think we do ok there... not sure as I don't follow sports that much just remember Juha Kankkunen been talked about when I was kid... Not only do we drive on gravel roads and night when it is slipery we also drive gravel roads and summer in broad daylight when it is slipery.... I mean, you can easily spin car in turn if the gravel is loose and you never know when there is loose ground on Gravel. Then there is these "bike roads" that are so wide that you almost can't fit two cars side by side and when two of you meet you have to go around without driving off the road, sometimes the speed limits is 80km/h you can't see if someone comes behind a corner and you have barely room to drive past each others so you have to be descent driver if you want to go speed limit. I have good memories being at back seat (the 6th and 7th facing backwards) when cousins mother drove 120km/h on gravel road (Speed limit now there is 60km/h) and we (as kids) had super fun :D don't know why we were in hurry tho But yeah, there is also the fact that I have heard several kids who have taken old car and driven it on fields and closed roads or tracks at young age as we have so little population that a lot of people live on fields where you can drive car on private area for fun. you can do laps for time against your friend. At winter you can take Snowmobile and use that to race with friends :D When compared to other countries like UK London or any big city you have less possibilities for Fun to start driving car. We also takes our Bikes / motorbikes / mopeds to woods and drive there. It is fun to drive Mountain bike to woods with friends and just play around in woods.... I bet now days after 2010 or so people start to grow up around computers, consoles and tablets that they are not going outside to play around with all these things so there is risk that Finland's golden days are behind and the amount and quality of driving racers go down from the low 9 it already is :D

It is is difficult for brazilians to become pilots... I always wanted to try... I am 24 years old and ndver fhad the opportunity to drive even a kart...

Slight correction Re. Merc influence. The engines are also built in the UK. As are all there ERS systems. A well known Italian said when asked why his cars are to be built uk 'The english are the best engineers in the world' And thats probably why we have so many champions, all the cars and most of the engines are made here (for every motorsport) and its often easier to just grab a local driver. We've had some serious talent yes, but its really just opportunity as far as the drivers are concerned.
